Chairman - David McIntosh
David McIntosh has over 40 years’ successful experience in management, organisational development and business leadership, in both the public and private sectors, in the UK and overseas. An entrepreneur and innovator, he has leadership experience in health care, pharmaceuticals and broadcast electronics; in addition to the application of imaging to law enforcement and security in which he has specialised for the last 12 years. He was a founder director of the UK Security Innovation and Technology Consortium and is a former Chairman of the International Association for Biometrics.
Deputy Chairman - Robert Jackson
Robert Jackson, a qualified chartered accountant and experienced corporate broker, director and strategic financial adviser, has a proven track record of success in a wide range of organisations. Former Group Finance and Corporate Development Director at Hollas Group he was also Chairman of the Hollas Protective Clothing Division, before returning to the City in 1997, where he led a number of successful M&A and corporate recovery programmes. A former Chief Executive of RMR PLC and of Special Products Limited, Robert is an adviser to Bespoke Hotels, Chairman of Ethicor Pharmaceuticals Ltd and a non-executive director of a number of other private companies, in addition to his role as Deputy Chairman at 3rd Forensic.
Divisional Director, Law Enforcement and National Security - James McBrierty
James McBrierty is an internationally recognised figure in the field of Security Strategy Setting and Operational Infrastructure Delivery and Leadership. A former Commander in Lothian and Borders Police, James fulfilled specialist leadership roles in Counter-Terrorism and was a valued advisor on National Security and policing technologies to Her Majesty’s Home Office. In addition to active Law Enforcement and Counter-Terrorism work, James’ career has involved providing guidance to UK Home Office Ministers, senior government officials, international representatives and others concerned with National Security and Law Enforcement. The 3rd Forensic Divisional Director with responsibility for corporate relations and business development in the Law Enforcement and National Security arenas, James brings extensive expertise in the management and application of cutting-edge technology and communications to secure people and infrastructure in the face of both criminal and terrorist threats.
Regional Director North America - Michael Kelly
Michael Kelly, former Colonel of the US Marine Corps and successful Harrier Pilot, is an experienced business developer in the National Security and Law Enforcement fields. His extensive military and diplomatic career included more than a quarter of a century as a pilot, followed by senior leadership roles in diplomatic liaison, strategic planning and coordination, interfacing at the highest levels of government in the USA. After retirement from the military, he managed an integrated business market sector for the Battelle Memorial Institute and led business development operations at TASC, Inc. for the business sector covering all Federal Civilian markets (average annual revenue of $240M). In addition to leading the 3rd Forensic business in North America, Mike also contributes as an investor and director of a number of other organisations and is also active in the charity sector.
Senior Non-Executive Director - Steve Swain
Steve Swain is the company’s senior NED and special adviser on Law Enforcement and National Security. He is an experienced practitioner in these areas with a particularly strong background in counter-terrorism and in SME development in the law enforcement and security sectors. After 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Service, latterly as the Detective Chief Superintendent in charge of the joint MI5/Police anti-terrorist unit (PICTU), he served in the private security sector as an international consultant and advisor before joining the UK Security Innovation and Technology Consortium (SITC) as its founding CEO in 2007. He is a valued security and counter-terrorism adviser to a number of organisations, both in the UK and overseas and continues to contribute to wider national security developments through his leadership of SITC.
Non-Executive Director - David Slater
Valued investor and board member David Slater contributes to the company on the basis of his extensive experience in corporate finance and business management, as a chief executive, director and operator in the main stream of the global banking and financial sectors. Formerly with BNP Paribas and subsequently Head of Inflation Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, David remains highly active in his chosen field, both as investor and participant, in addition to his role as a non-executive director at 3rd Forensic.
Company Secretary, and Principal Financial Adviser - Naomi Fowler
Naomi Fowler, a qualified ACCA, has a broad experience and understanding of accountancy, financial management and strategy, in both public and private sector organisations. Naomi began her career in audit and accounts with PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing services to a wide range of public and private sector bodies before being persuaded into a career in industry. Her current roles include Financial Controller for a highly successful SME in the distribution sector as well as providing accountancy and company secretarial functions to 3rd Forensic.
Chief Technical Officer - Daniel Jimenez
3rd Forensic co-founder Daniel Jimenez has been inventing, developing and delivering advanced software solutions for over 18 years, after graduating BA (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Newcastle. He is a recognised expert in database application design, with extensive experience in a variety of languages and database engines, for applications including Finance, high frequency trading systems and ultra-low latency trading opportunities. He has been specialising in Security image solutions for the last five years. A Microsoft qualified Windows Embedded Developer and also deeply skilled in the use of Oracle database products, Daniel is the principal architect and designer of the company’s FILM solution. He is also currently responsible for customer installations and system support back-up.
Chief Scientific Officer - Jesus Miguel
Jesus Miguel is a long-time engineering friend of Daniel Jimenez. Qualified BA (Hons) in both Science (Physics) and Engineering (System Engineering) at UNED, he has a proven track record of engineering excellence spanning over 30 years in research, development and database application design. He has extensive experience in a variety of languages and database engines in applications including Finance, Transport, the Public sector, and Utilities (Oil and Gas). Jesus holds both Oracle Designer and Developer certificates, as well as Data General Microsoft Server Administrator Certification.
PA and Admin Co-Ordinator - Karen Salfarlie
Karen Salfarlie has spent many years throughout her professional roles, as part of a team, in most aspects of office life. Her experience has led her to acquire a diverse skill-set ranging from sales and marketing to money acquisition, working to deadlines and within budgets. Her early career years, in the Insurance Industry progressing to the position of Medical Underwriter with a Life Syndicate at Lloyds of London, helped her to develop an eye for detail and a sound understanding of the Business/Customer relationship. A change of direction thereafter to the position of PA and a natural creative flair has meant that her skills are honed to accommodate the need to react quickly appropriately and responsibly, with the level of discretion, diplomacy and propriety expected at Board level. A natural ‘people person’, Karen is often the first point of contact for any queries or guidance required.
